I have recently built about 4 possible versions of the tilting mechanism I have beem toying with in my very informal test stand. Here are some pictures of the one I think will work the best.   This is pretty much like I think it will be on the actual trike. The orientation on the outer tilting assembly may change a bit but it will be very similar to this. The shocks that are visible should be the ones I use. The tilt arm on the center shaft will be very similar.  At this point I have gotten the general outline of what I want to do sketched out in my mind. I have another bathroom to work up and a garage shop to work up before I get back to this little project. Recumbent tadpole trike: Posts on Velomobilforum p.4 In response to Wolf and Hein, First Wolf's comment. What I am aware of is that there are quite a few tilters that do not use a monolithic steering system and have in fact decoupled the tilt in order to get the system to be stable. The brake application to the tilt is in fact an effort to stabilize the tilt. I am just before work here and have very little time to comment but I will try to cite examples later. Below is a general view of the Aileron tilting trike made by Wayne Soohoo it is pretty obvious wher the trike tilts. He controls the tilt by using a brake released with the steering handles. This is what I based my thoughts on for the theoretical spaceframe tilter. Instead of a remote release I think something like a direct brake would work as well. Low cost loft bed

This is yet again a distraction from working on setting up the shop... Not an unappreciated one but still... I get to play with the GIMP drawing program to make a scratch design for a very cheap and minimal loft bed.  This is designed for a twin long mattress or a twin normal length bed and a space for a built in desk underneath.     The desk size and the rail size is not well defined but are sufficient for a build with little guessing. The head board and the back board have cauls glued in place to hold the desk top in place.  The subpanels themselves are glued and screwed together in order to ensure solidity and rejection of racking.
